NBA Rumours: Doc Rivers agrees to a 5-year deal to become 76ers Head Coach as per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Now Doc Rivers back with the Eastern Conference and Back with the same division as Boston Celtics.
At the starting of the 2020's NBA season, Doc's was a head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers and they were the heavy favorite to win an NBA title but they failed to do it. Doc River's landed Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in the Clippers team.
Clippers not only lost series against Nuggets but they lost in a bad way with the kind of team they have. They had a 3-1 lead in the series but they blew it and they lost in the second round of the NBA playoffs. This led the Clippers to fire their head coach Doc Rivers.
But now He becomes a head coach with two great talents. Doc already won one NBA titles with the Eastern Conference team Boston Celtics. He can elevate the game of Embiid and Ben Simmons at the next level. 76ers has Harris who did a great job under Doc Rivers in the Clippers' jersey.
Philadelphia 76ers lost in the first round of the Eastern Conference against the Boston Celtics after this they fired their head coach Brett Brown. Now Doc Rivers will take his job with the talent they have. The 76ers will be one of the favorites to make into finals.
As per ESPN, 76ers general manager Elton Brand on Monday reached out to Rivers and his agent, Lonnie Cooper, for Doc to become the next head coach of the 76ers. Doc went to the 76ers and a deal with happening in Philadelphia. Doc makes a multiyear deal with the 76ers. He signed 5 year's deal with the 76ers.
