NBA Rankings: LeBron James once again tops ESPN's best players list. His precious rank was 3 because he missed some games and his Lakers team didn't make into the playoff that season. Anthony Davis joins his teammate LeBron James as the second-best player on the list.
Here are the Top 7 Players as per ESPN Rankings:
7. Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers):
Damian Lillard was superb in last season's bubble environment until he was injured against Los Angeles Lakers in the playoffs. He averaged nearly 37.6 PPG and 9.6 assists in the bubble as Portland made into the playoffs with no. 8th seeded team in the Western Conference. Lillard improving a lot with every season passed, now he is capable of giving a win to his team on his own. It is a very hard to gaurd a player like him with the skill set he has on the offensive end. Damian has very good handling, post game, good mid range game and he has best skill to knock down long range shots. Last season he averaged 30 PPG with 4.3 RPG, 8.0 APG. Damian was on the 9th number last season.
6. Kevin Durant (Brooklyn Nets):
After winning 2 titles with mighty GSW team he lost a final against Kawhi's Toronto Raptors because of GSW faced injury problem of Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson. Kevin Durant missed last season with Nets due to an Achilles injury. Last season he was not ranked in this list. Now Kevin Durant coming back in the NBA and He is eagrly waiting to take LeBron James' place as the Top player in the league. Always it's hard to make strong come back after faving an Achilles injury. He was making the point as the NBA's most dominant individual force and some of his teammate and other players who played with him during rehab have been giving high hope for Kevin Durant.
5. Kawhi Leonard(Los Angeles Clippers):
He was on the no. 2 list last season by winning an NBA title with Toronto Raptors. Los Angeles Clippers made many moves to give their team best chance to win title including moves of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. They faced a heartbreaking loss to Denver Nuggets in the second round of the playoffs as they have 3-1 lead. Kawhi was aweful in last game against Nuggets in that series. His load management is also a huge problem for him and his team. He has a potential to take his old spot in the ranking and even a thron of LeBron James in that rankings.

4. Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks):
In his second year, He showed to the world that why he is one of the best prodigy in the NBA and sports world. He was tremendous against Los Angeles Clippers with averaging 31 PPG, 9.8 RPG and 8.7 APG. He became the youngest player to make an All-NBA first team based on age as of an opening night. In 2019-20 season, He averaged 28.8 PPG, 9.4 RPG, 8.8 APG, 1 SPG and 0.2 BPG. He is the only player in the NBA history to average 20 triple-doubles at age 21 or younger. Can he take him to the next level and improved his game at the defensive end.
3. Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks):
Back to back MVP trophies winner after Stephen Curry but when it comes to the playoffs he always fell short. Last season they are one of the favorite to win an NBA title but they lost against Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Giannis scored 29.5 PPG, 13.6 RPG, 5.6 APG, 1 SPG and 1 BPG. He won regular season MVP award and DPOY award in 2019-20 season. Also his team got the best record in the NBA in the 2019-20 season. Now, Giannis has to prove that he can play at highest level even in the playoffs and pressure situation.
2. Anthony Davis (Los Angeles Lakers):
Anthony Davis playerd a huge role in the Los Angeles Lakers' championship run in bubble. His last moment 3-pointer against Denver Nuggets was the biggest shot of the playoffs. He has chance to win Finals MVP with the performance but LeBron James gave even better performance than Anthony Daivs to win Finals MVP. Now, Anthony Davis finds his home and made a huge deal with the Lakers, He has best chance to win this year's regular season MVP. He came behind Giannis in the defensive player of the year award in 2019-20 season.

1. LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers):
This is the first time in the 10-year history of NBA rank, player from the same team finished number 1 and number 2 position in the ranking. LeBron James finished no.1 poisition and Anthony Davis at the second rank. LeBron won NBA title and Finals MVP with Lakers at the age of 35. LeBron James missed no.1 spot in 2019 season due to an injury as he missed many game. He scored 25.3 PPG, 10.2 APG, 7.8 RPG, 1.2 SPG and 0.5 BPG. This is the first time in his career, He led league in assist with 10.2 APG. He won 4 NBA finals MVP award with 3 different team and he is the first player to achieve this feat. Now it's time to see how he help his team repeat title winning run with Los Angeles Lakers new roster and Anthony Davis.
