NBA: NBA Champion KCP expected to enter free agency. Rondo also expected his reward.

NBA: KCP has a chance to get more after winning the NBA title with Los Angeles Lakers. He played a huge role in the Lakers' championship run in the season of 2019-20. 

As per Shams Charania of The Athletic," KCP will likely decline his $8.5 million player option. A source said."

KCP has a $16 million 2 year contract with the Lakers. After winning an NBA title with and giving his best performance in the NBA finals, He has a chance to get more money from it. So he will likely decline his final year of contract with the Lakers. 

KCP nearly averaged 13 PPG in the finals and he made some of the clutch shots on those finals. KCP also got a good hand on the defensive end. He can defend other teams guard very well and 3-point shooter of the other team. KCP scored 17 points in the final game of the NBA finals against the Miami Heat.

Rondo also wants his share after winning an NBA title with the Lakers in 2020. He won the NBA title with Boston Celtics in 2008. After 12 years of waiting, he got another NBA title in his bag. 

The  Lakers re-signing Rajon Rondo with just a minimum salary contract get some criticism because he is not best fitted with LeBron James. To win a chip he developed chemistry with a LeBron James and also played a huge role in the Lakers' title-winning run.  

LeBron James was the pillar of the Lakers team in the NBA title than Rajon Rondo was the same for the Lakers when LeBron James was not on the floor in the finals. He proved that he can lead a team coming off the bench, motivate young players and he has one of the best IQ in the NBA. 

Rajon Rondo scored 19 points in the 6th game of the finals in 30 minutes of playing in the NBA finals. Rajon Rondo has a player value of $2.6 million next season. 

As per Chris Sheridan of BasketballNews.com," Rajon Rondo will opt out of his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers to become an unrestricted free agent."
