NBA: Anfernee Simons wins AT & T slam dunk contest in the NBA All-Star weekend 2021.

NBA: First player for Portland to win NBA dunk contest in All-Star Weekend at Atlanta. Simons from the Portland Trail Blazers, Obi Toppin from the New York Knicks, and Cassius Stanley from the Indiana Pacers were there to win the NBA dunk contest. But Portland player Anfernee Simon win a contest by blowing a kiss towards the rim and making a dunk.      


Simons and Toppin made a competition in the final round but this time it's different to get a new winner. This time it's about a new rule called "Judge's Choice." Both Players made one dunk in each round.

Rules in the dunk contest:


Three dunkers will each have two dunks in the first round. They will have three attempts to complete each dunk. 


For each dunk, a score of 6 to 10 will be given by each of the five judges, Resulting in a maximum score of 50. The two dunkers with the highest total first-round scores will advance to the final round.


Final round each dunker performs one dunk. This time Judges will not give them points but a winner will be selected by their votes. 


Judges from the panel didn't give them a score to win a competition but they gave a vote to the players. Simons got 3 votes and Toppin got 2 votes. 


Cassius Stanley scored 44 points, Toppin scored 48 points and Simons scored 46 points in their first round of the dunk contest. Stanley got only 37 points in his second attempt. Anfernee Simons pays homage to Tracy McGrady by wearing his jersey in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. He made a good dunk and scored 49 points. Toppin jumped above 2 standing men and scored one hand windmill dunk. He got 46 points.


Toppin and Simons got selected for the final round and Simons won it by blowing a kiss to a rim.
