MS Dhoni, A man who gives many things to Cricket of India. In the leadership of Dhoni India won first ever T20 World Cup and one-day cricket world up in 2011. Dhoni is the only Indian Captian who won all ICC tournaments. Dhoni already retired from Test Cricket in 2014 and now he made the decision to retire from all format of International Cricket.


MS Dhoni scored 10773 runs in 350 games with an average of 50.6 (Highest score- 183) in ODI format, In Test Format, He scored 4875 runs in 90 games in 144 innings with the average of 38.1( Highest score - 224 ) and  In T-20 format he scored 1617 runs in 98 matches with the average of 37.6 ( Highest score- 56).

The Great Sachin Tendulkar tweeted this on Dhoni's retirement : 

Dhoni made an Instagram post, " Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout. from 1929hrs consider me as retired."


India achieved so many things under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. The first trophy India won under his captaincy was the T20 world cup in 2007 in Africa against Pakistan. After that India never looked back in cricket. India won Champions Trophy in 2013 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. India was the top-ranked side in Test from December 2009 to June 2011. India also won the CB Tri-series in Australia which was always looking impossible for India. He took the crown of the best captain of the test from Saurav Ganguly when he registered 22nd win with India in Test. 


His most important achievement was the 2011 one day cricket world cup. There were many players who gave their best to win a world cup for India like Yuvaraj, Gambhir, and The Great Sachin Tendulkar, Zahir Khan, and other bowlers but the MS Dhoni was the one who finished a final with his trademark helicopter shot hitting six. India enjoyed this moment as a festival. This shows what is the meaning of this achievement.


Dhoni is not only India's most successful captain and one of the top batsman but he is the top 3 wicketkeeper of all time. He comes on the third number with 829 dismissals in all format of cricket behind March Boucher(998) and Adam Gilchrist(905)


MS Dhoni played his last one day game against New Zeland in the world cup semi-final where India lost to New Zeland. Dhoni made his debut in 2004 against Bangladesh at the age of 23 in Indian Jersey. Dhoni's name came on everyone's mouth when he scored 148 runs against Pakistan which was his first ton in International cricket. 


MS Dhoni is known for his coolness and composer in a game when he was taking any decision. MS Dhoni shows every sports fan in the world that how a small-town boy can become a leader of a big team with his leadership quality, hard work, dedication, decision-making abilities in any situation and composure. These abilities put him today where he is now and put him in a different category than other players.     


It's impossible for India to ever get a player like him. There will be always impossible to fill a hole with is left by Dhoni. 


Now He is the captain of IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings and he will lead his team in IPL which will take place in UAE.

Barcelona was humiliated by Bayern Munich at UCL with the 8-2 victory of Bayern at UCL. Bayern already favorites to win this game but not in this way with a team like Barcelona and players like Messi and Saurez.


3 minutes, Goal- Thomas Muller, Bayern Munich, Thomas Muller passed a ball to the Lewandowski and he passed a ball back to Muller. Muller finished with his left-footed shot in the right corner of the Barcelona net. No one was there to guard Thomas Muller.


7 minutes, Goal- Devid Alaba(OG), Barcelona, Alba tried to pass a ball to Saurez who was coming into the penalty area of Bayern but a ball was intercepted by Alaba who tried to clear a ball but it a ball went into the net of Bayern and OG for Bayern. it was an awful moment for David Alaba. Neuer had no chance at all to stop the ball going in a net. he just deflected it. 


9 minutes, Saurez had a chance to take a lead when he was one on one with Neuer he just has to flick a ball but he missed it because a good save made by Neuer.


10 minutes, Lionel Messi curve cross-shot just hit the post but before that Sergio had a chance to put that curve pass into a net but he missed it. What an opportunity missed by Barcelona.


21 minutes, Goal- Perisic, Bayern Munich, Gnabry took a ball to the Barca penalty area from the center of the field and passed a ball to Perisic who scored a goal with a left-footed shot. There was no one to guard him.

26 minutes, Messi with the good ball in on Barcelona player's header who missed a post by just a margin.

 

27 minutes, Goal- Serge Gnabry, Bayern Munich, another sloppy play by Barcelona in a defense. Goretzka made a lob pass to Lenglet who passed a ball to Gnabry. Gnabry took a ball and shot a ball with a lot of power. There was no chance for Ter Stegen.


29 minutes, Lewandowski had a great and easy chance to score but he missed a golden opportunity to extend their lead. A ball touched  Ter Stegen's right foot and deflected.


31 minutes, Goal-Thomas Muller, Bayern Munich, Kimmich passed a ball towards Muller who was in Barca's penalty area who put a ball with just a touch of his right foot.   


First Half: Bayern Munich 4 - Barcelona 1


In the First half, It was total domination by Bayern. They got many chances and made many attacks on Barca defends. Barcelona's defense was awful in the first half of the Game. Barcelona also got some chances to score a goal but they failed to do it.


57 minutes, Goal- Barcelona, Luis Suarez, There was Boateng to stop Suarez but Suarez flicked a ball and past Botend and then scored a clinical goal with his left foot. A masterclass goal by Luis Suarez. 


63 minutes, Goal- Kimmich, Bayern Munich, What a brilliant play by Alphonso Davis. he passed nearly half the Barcelona team and passed a ball to Kimmich who just had to put a ball into the net. An absolutely brilliant play made by this talented teenager named Alphonso Davis. 


68 minutes, Another sloppy play by Barcelona. Thomas Muller was in the post are and he put a ball near the penalty spot and there were no Barcelona players to stop a shot of Kingsley but his shot was barely deflected by Jordi Alba who intercepted a shot.


82 minutes, Goal- Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich, Robert Lewandowski registered his name on scoring shit. Lewandowski headed a ball into a net in which a passed is made by Semedo. 54 goals for Robert in this remarkable season. 


86 minutes, Goal- Philippe Coutinho, Bayern Munich, It was a bad night for Barca in the defense. it looked like they are doing defense in sleep. Coutinho put a ball into a net with 2nd touch on the ball between the legs of Pique.


89 minutes, Goal-Philippe Coutinho, Bayern Munich, Another Goal For Coutinho against his former club, and devastating loss for Barcelona. Coutinho came off the bench and scored 2 goals within 4 minutes. 


Now This season is called the worst season for Barcelona as they lost  La Liga's title where they were favorite to win the title before the resume of La Liga. Now in UEFA Champion League, They are out of it with a humiliating and embarrassing loss to Bayern.


Now Bayer Munich is in Top 4 in UCL and they have now big chance to win a treble this season. They tell the football world that no one can stop them after crushing victory over Barcelona. Whenever Barcelona faces Bayern Munich Always have an upper hand mentally. 


In this game, it looks like there is no Messi in a game and Barcelona's defense getting older. They had no chance against Bayern Munich's offense who scored so many goals this season. This is the first time Barcelona conceded four goals in the first half for the first time ever and Thomas Muller is the only player to score 6 goals against Barcelona at UCL.

Damian Lillard, He is in a great form in this bubble environment. First, he scored 50+ points game, in the next game he scored 61 points and now he takes his team to the play-in series with 42 points. Now they will play against Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday to take 8th seed and for the playoffs entry.


Damian Lillard scored 42 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and 12 assists in his 44 minutes of play. Brooklyn Nets and Portland Trail Blazers both played this game with high intensity as their playoff game. Both teams exchange lead many times in the first half of the game until 6:29 minutes left in the Second Quarter, Portland took 5 points lead. when 1:13 minutes left in the 2nd quarter, Portland took 8 points with Damian Lillard's layup.  


7 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, Nets cut a lead to 2 points. In after a minute Temple's straight on 3 tied a game at 85. Nets made a 23-6 run to take a lead of 9 points in the third quarter. 


10:31 minutes left in the fourth quarter, Damian Lillard made a 3 pointer from the LOGO of NBA. Wow, What a shot! 9:30 minutes to go Lillard's step-back three cut a lead to only one point. Portland took a lead in the game when just over 8 minutes left. 5:15 left in the quarter, Nets took 5 points lead. 4:04 minutes left in the game, Anthony's 3-pointer cut a lead to 2 points. 2:53 to go Portland took a lead of 1 point with Nurkic finished on Damian Lillard's dish. Harris tied a game at 130 points. 53.4 seconds left in a game CJ McCallum's jumper gave 4 points lead to Portland. 37 seconds left in a game, Caris LeVert scored and drew a foul. When 5 seconds left Caris LeVert tried to give his team a win but he missed it by an inch. A huge win for Portland Trail Blazers. 


Nurkic scored 22 points with 10 rebounds, CJ added 25 points, 4 rebounds, and 7 assists. Trent Jr and Whiteside scored 12 points each. 


For Nets Caris LeVert was hot in this game, He scored 37 points with 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Harris and Timothe scored 19 points. Allen, Temple, and Johnson scored 14, 15, and 16 points.  



Memphis Grizzlies won a crucial game against one of the best teams of the NBA Milwaukee Bucks. They won only 2 games in this bubble environment at Orlando. 


Now all teams standing are clear in the west, Memphis Grizzlies get the 9th seed in the West, and Portland Trail Blazers victory means they are in the 8th place in the west. They will play the first game on Saturday and if the 8th seeded team will win a match they will directly qualify for the Playoffs and if the 9th seed team win s a game than they both have to play another game. 8th seeded team need to win only 1 game to qualify and 9th seeded team need to win both of their game to qualify in the playoffs  


Portland Trail Blazers or Memphis Grizzlies- winner of this play in series will face Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James in the Playoffs.

Novak Djokovic gave the good news to the US Open Organizer and Fans of Tennis. He said that he will play in the US Open. This is the first Grand Slam tournament after the coronavirus pandemic.


Djokovic twitted and confirmed that he will participate at #Cincy Tennis and #USOpen this year.


Djokovic also put some words with it that It was not an easy decision to make with all the Obstacles and challenges on many sides, but the prospect of competing again makes him really excited.


 

Nadal already decided not to play in the US Open due to giving priority to the Roland Garros and he opted not to defend his US Open Title. Roger Federer is already unable to play due to injury concerns. Stan Wawrinka and Martin Del Porto left out from the tournament. 


And from the women side world number one Ashleigh Barty will be absent in the US Open due to coronavirus. This will become a loss for US Open but Djokovic's decision to play in the US Open will boost up the tournament. 


In an absence of Nadal, Federer, Wawrinka, and Del Potro, Djokovic has the best chance to win the US Open. Djokovic was criticized by many due to his charity event in the Balkans in June. He and some players tested positive for COVID-19. He revealed he tested positive for the coronavirus three weeks ago after competing in the Adria tour which he helped to put together. 


He said that it was impossible for him to play in the US Open due to extreme coronavirus protocols. Now He decided to play in the US Open. Djokovic won US Open 3 times in his career and he won a total of 17 Grand slams. 


There is Western and Southern Open in which Djokovic will take part and it is held in Cincinnati but it will be played at Flushing Meadows from August 22-28.


Djokovic will face challenges from a player like Thiem, Zverev, Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Alexander Zverev. Besides Djovik, These young players also have a great chance to win US Open Titles in the absence of two greats and some superstar who already won US Open.

Los Angeles Clippers clinched the 2nd seed after a win over Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference. Los Angeles Lakers have already retained the first spot and no opponent decided for them to play against in the playoffs. 


Los Angeles Clippers 2nd seeds mean they will face the 7th seeded team in the West. Now there is Dallas Mavericks and they have the most efficient offense in the league. Clippers have all kinds of players in their team.

The defense is the main strength of the Clippers. They have players like Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Montrezl Harrell, Patrick Beverley, and some supportive players who can give a tough time to any player or any team on scoring. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are regarded as best two-way wing players like Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Who can guard any position of the opposition team? Los Angeles Clippers are in the 5th place out of 30 teams in the NBA with a defensive rating of 107.9.


Clippers are also great on the other end with an offensive rating of 114.2 and they are in the 2nd place out of 30 teams in the League. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both averaged more than 20 points per game this season. Kawhi Leonard scored 27.1 PPG and Paul George scored 21.5 PPG.


Supporting Cast :


Clippers have the best supporting cast in the name of Montrezl Harrell and Lou Williams. This season Harrell scored 18.6 PPG with 7.1 rebounds, 0.6 steals, and 1.1 blocks which means he played very good at both ends- Offense and Defence. Lou Williams scored 18.2 PPG with 3.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists and he is the Sixth Man of the year. Now they both are selected this year for the sixth men of the year. They added Marcus Morris who is very good in defense and Riggie Jackson. Landry Shamet is also a very good player when it matters the most. 


Coach :


Doc Rivers regarded as one of the best coaches of the NBA. He already won a title with the Boston Celtics. This season despite many injuries faced by his players, He managed Los Angeles Clippers very well.

There is no weakness in Clippers from the perspective of playing a game but the only issues with them are injury. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard missed so many games this season due to injury. Injury is the only major issue of the Los Angeles Clippers Team.

Dallas Mavericks' Strength :


offense : 


Dallas Mavericks are in the 3rd place in the offensive rating with the scoring of 117.2 PPG. Luca Doncic playing great, He scored 29 PPG with 9.5 RPG, 9 APG, 1 SPG, and 0.2 BPG. He is doing great in every aspect of the game only defense is the problem for him. K.Porzingis scored 20.4 PPG with 9.5 RPG, 2 BPG. Tim Hardaway Jr made 15.9 PPG. Burke and Curry did a great job for Dallas this season by scoring 12.7 and 12.5 PPG respectively. They don't have very good players like Clippers but they can surprise Clippers on their given night with their offense.


Dallas Mavericks Weakness : 


Defense and Lack of experience of Playing in playoffs : 


In the defense, they are way behind than any other team in the league than the top teams of the league. They have 110.9 defensive ratings as per NBA.com. 


Luka Doncic and Porzingis are star players of Dallas Mavericks and they are playing their first playoff series in the NBA. J.J. Barea, Seth Curry, and Wright have played more than 300 minutes in the Playoffs from the 8 players. 

 

Prediction : 



Los Angeles Clippers have an advantage in many ways over Dallas in playoffs. They have more Playing experience in the playoffs than Dallas. The Clippers have two of the top 10 players in the league while Dallas has 2 best young stars of this generation but they lack experience. Only Luka, Porzingis, Tim Hardaway Jr- These 3 trio play at their highest level than they have a slight chance to stun Clippers in the Playoffs.
