Houston Rockets made a 5-0 run to take a lead of 6 points in the starting one minute of the quarter. 7:16 remaining, Green with a strong finish on James Harden wonderful pass for 6 points lead to the Rockets. LeBron James cut these 6 points lead to 3 points with his 3 point jumper. 5:34 to go, Anthony Davis hit a very tough fadeaway jumper. LeBron James scored 5 points in his two shots to cut a lead to 1 point. 1:39 to go, Lakers were on the run and Anthony Davis had a ball at that time, He passed a ball to LeBron James who finished a run with a hammering two-handed jam. Rajon Rondo to Anthony Davis with an alley-oop pass to finished a play with a dunk. This was the second time Rondo find Anthony Davis with an alley-oop pass. Houston Rockets were ahead with 3 points after the first half.

Once again LeBron blocked a shot and it was Rivers whose shot was blocked by LeBron this time. Covington put a ball into a bucket but no count and the game tied at 82-82.

LeBron started a quarter with a steal and on the other end, Lakers finished with a bucket. Russell Westbrook replies with a 3-pointer. 8:35 to go, Rajon Rondo stole a ball from Harden and finished a play with a bucket, With this play Rajon Rondo made an 8-0 run with his two 3-pointers in this run. Lakers got 9 points lead after this. Caruso banged a 3-pointer to take the lead of 10 points in a quarter. After this lead Houston Rockets were unable to get back in a game. Lakers steal a game with 112-102 and take a 2-1 lead in a series.

James Harden and Russell Westbrook lead a way for Houston Rockets but it was not enough. James Harden scored 33 points, 9 boards, and 9 dimes with a -7 rating. Russell Westbrook added 30 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block with a -14 rating. Covington and Gordon scored 10 points each. Green made 16 points in a game coming off the bench.
