Denver Nuggets become the first team in NBA history which faced 4 straight seven-game playoff series after getting a win in the 6th game of a series against the Clippers. Denver Nuggets already faced this situation and they made it through it. In the last series against Utah, they were behind 3-1 and won a series. 


Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray are the pillars of this Denver Nuggets team and they proved it right in this game. Jokic and Murray got a rating of +9 and +14 in a game. Michael Porter Jr is playing very well in this series which is the best part of the Nuggets success of the series. Jamal Murray scored 21 points with 69.2% in a game. 



Denver Nuggets shot a ball with a field goal percentage of 54.1% by making 40 of 74. and very good from the 3 point line with making 12 out of 25 shots with a shooting percentage of 48%. 


4:46 to go in the second quarter, Los Angeles Clippers had only 2 points lead in a game but the Clippers made a 16-2 run in the last 5 minutes of the second quarter to take  16 points to lead in the first half.  


At the starting of a 3rd quarter, Clippers got 19 points lead with Paul George making a 3-pointer. Jokic made a wonderful pass to Harris with a great look pass to cut a lead to only a point. Denver Nuggets made 17-0 in 5 minutes when 3:28 remaining in a quarter.  What a move by Murray to surprize Paul George and finished a play with a dunk. 


Tonny Craig tied a game on Jokic's wonderful pass at 79-79 in starting of the fourth quarter. Tony Craig was wide open to hit a 3-pointer and he made it which gave 3 points lead to the Clippers when 11 minutes to go in the fourth quarter. Jokic's back to back 3-pointers extended a lead to 7 points and also took a game away from the Clippers. 6:58 to go, Porter Jr. banged a side step 3 for 5 points lead to Denver Nuggets. 4:45 to go in the fourth quarter, Garry Harris drained a 3-pointer which gave 10 points lead to Denver Nuggets. Denver Nuggets made 62-30 runs in two-quarters of play to take a game away from the Clippers. Nikola Jokic scored 11 points in the fourth quarter.

Jokic scored 34 points with 14 rebounds, 7assists, 1 steal, 1 block with 5 turnovers. Jamal Murray scored 21 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steal with only one turn over. Harris added 16 points with 2 boards, 4 assists and 4 steals with +9 ratings in a game. 


Bench Players 


Michael Porter Jr. dropped 13 points with 7 rebounds and 1 blocks with a +12 rating. Craig scored 7 points with 5 boards. Morris added 10 points coming off the bench. 


Clippers' Scorer


Paul George led a way in scoring for the Clippers with 33 points, 6 boards, 3 assists, a huge number of steals with 5, and 1 block. Kawhi Leonard dropped 25 points with 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block.

Naomi Osaka, She is just 22 years old and already won 3 major titles with two US Opens and one Australian Open. She won first US Open back in 2018 and the Australian Open in 2019. After two years she did it again and win another US Open. She is playing for Japan. 


She played like a warrior and she has a tough mentality just like Nadal. She won the 2020 US Open and how she won it, This should have happened with the stadium full of crowds. Osaka wore different masks honoring victims of racial injustice and police brutality in each round of the tournament.


Osaka is the first player who won a title after losing the first set of a match since 1994 which is before 25 years. No one did this in the last 25 years until Osaka able to do it in this US Open final.  


Set 1


Osaka made an unforced error by hitting a ball outside of a line to give the first break to Azarenka. Azarenka won the second game in a set without giving any point. Azarenka went ahead in a set with 2-0. Osaka won the third game of a set with an unforced error by Azarenka. After this Azarenka took 4 games and take a set 6-1. 


Set 2


Azarenka took the first game in a set with ease. In the second game, Azarenka got 2 breakpoints with going ahead 15-40 on Osaka's serve and took the second game with 3 consecutive points. Azarenka took the first 2 games in a second set. Azarenka had a chance to extend a lead to 3-0 but Osaka made comeback and took the third game by breaking the serve of Azarenka. Osaka took his serving game and tied at 2-2. In the seventh game of a set Azarenka made a mistake and Osaka got a breakpoint. Azarenka hit a ball out of the line and Osaka took game 7 and 4-3 lead in a set. Osaka took her serving game and once again she broke Azarenka's serve to take a set with 6-3. Azarenka had game points in game 9 of a set but she also missed this opportunity. Osaka took the last game of a set with hard-hitting shots.   


Set 3


Osaka took the first game of a set with a perfect online shot. Osaka broke the 4th game of Azarenka's serve in a set with her powerful hitting and took a 3-1 lead in a set. Once again in Azarenka had a chance to come back in a game but she missed it. She was ahead with 0-40 on Osaka's serve with 3 breakpoints but Osaka got back breakpoints and take the 5th game of a set. Osaka took 5 consecutive points to take a game 5 of a set. Azarenka got a breakpoint in a game 7 of a set and this time she was successful to take a game but Osaka took back 8th game of a set by breaking Azarenka's serve and in the next game on her own serve she took the game, set, and match to become the champion of US Open. 


Osaka won a game and championship against Azarenka with 1-6, 6-3, 6-3.  


After the game, Osaka said," It was a really tough match, but inspiring as I used to watch you(Azarenka) play here when I was younger. So just to have the opportunity to play is really great and I learned a lot. I thought it would be very embarrassing to lose in under an hour, so I had t stop having a Bad Attitude, and the point was to make people start talking. "

LeBron and AD led a Lakers to the Western Conference finals. Lakers make into the Western Conference finals after 2010. LeBron James scored 29 points in a game. All players did their job in this game for Lakers where it is Danny Green, Kyle Kuzma, Rajon Rondo, Caruso, Morris or others. They did their part in a game. Meanwhile, Houston Rockets sinks when it comes to the vital moment of a series.


Lakers makes a franchise playoff record by hitting 19 3 pointers in a game. They made 19 3 FGM in just 37 FGA with 51.4 3FG%. Lakers out rebounded Houston Rockets with 50-31 rebounds.

Lakers got a huge 26 points lead after the end of the 3rd quarter.

Kuzma starter a quarter with a catch and shoot 3-pointer, Lakers got 29 points lead with this play. 10:40 to go, Lakers got 30 points lead but Green knocked down a 3-pointer. Lakers maintained their 20+ lead in the fourth quarter.

Los Angeles Lakers played like what we expected from them against Houston Rockets. After losing the first game in a series they won 3 games in a raw. Now Lakers have a very good advantage in a series by taking a 3-1 lead.  


James Harden had a very bad night from the field as he made only 2 FG from 11 FG. He scored most of his points from the free-throw line. He scored 16 free-throws from 21 attempts. Anthony Davis led the Lakers in points and a win with 29 points. 6 Lakers players scored in double figures. LeBron James and Rondo nearly scored a triple-double in a game. 


Lakers got an advantage over Houston in rebounding a ball in this game. They grabbed 52 rebounds with 12 offensive rebounds compared to Houston Rockets only 26 with just 1 offensive rebound which means the Lakers never gave Houston Rockets a second chance to score points.

Lakers started scoring in a game with Danny Green made an open layup on LeBron James assist where Houston Rockets turned a ball. 9:20 to go, Play started from Anthony Davis' defense as He forced Westbrook to make a tough shot and Westbrook missed a shot. Anthony Davis Grabbed a rebound, passed a ball to LeBron who made an amazing pass to Caldwell-Pope who finished a play with the reverse layup. 7:54 to go, Anthony Davis made a step-back jumper for 23 points lead to the Lakers. The Lakers made a 9-0 run since Green missed a 3-pointer. Houston Rockets made a 17-2 run in the last 4:46 minutes before 2:34 minutes to go in a quarter. Houston cut 23 points lead to only 8 points. Laker made only one field goal in 5 minutes when 1:52 minutes to go in the quarter. Lakers survived from Houston Rocket's run and win a game by 110 to 100.

It is one of the best games of this season's NBA playoffs. Kyle Lowry helped his team to win 2 OT thriller with 33 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and he made 6 3-pointer out of 10 in a game. This was a crazy game.   


Now Toronto Raptors playing like a defending champion despite missing key players from the last season like Leonard and Danny Green. 


Kemba Walker had a bad game he was able to score only 5 points in a game with 4 rebounds and 7 assists. He made only 2 field goals from 11 in a game with a -7 rating.

Just under 6 minutes to go, Serge Ibaka made 3-pointer with this Toronto Raptors made only 3 3-pointer out of 15 in a game. 5:16 remaining in a quarter, Serge Ibaka banged another 3-pointer which cut a lead to 6 points for Toronto Raptors. 3:55 left in a quarter, Serge Ibaka made another 3-pointer and drew a foul for 4 points play but he missed a free-throw. Boston lead cut to 5 points. 1:40 to go, Jayson Tatum's 3-pointer gave 10 points to Boston Celtics. Toronto Raptors made an 8-0 run which cut a lead to 2 points. Both teams scored 27 points each in the second quarter.


Quarter 3 


Gasol knocked down a 3-pointer and Boston Celtics' lead cut to the only point. Marcus Smart made the 4th 3-pointer of a game for 4 points lead to the Raptors. Raptors made a 6-0 run with a help of VanVleet and took a lead of 2 points in a game. Toronto Raptors got the first lead since 1-0 in the first quarter. 6:59 to go, VanVleet knocked down a 3-pointer for the Raptors to take a lead of 5 points in a game. 6:47 to go, Toronto Raptors made a 9-0 run in 1 minute and 41 seconds. With Siakam's 3 points play Toronto Raptors took 7 points to lead in a game. 2:17 to go, Toronto Raptors got 8 points lead in a game. Toronto Raptors had 4 points lead after 3 quarters of play.  


Quarter 4


In quarter 4 Toronto Raptors maintained a lead until Jayson Tatum with a pull-up 3-point jumper gave 1 point lead to the Celtics.  Toronto Raptors took back a lead with a 3-pointer made by Kyle Lowry.  6:20 to go, Kyle Lowry fired another 3-pointer for 5 points lead in a game.  2:09 to go, A ball stripped by Smart and picked up by Daniel Theis. On the other end, Theis finished a play with a dunk on Marcus Smart's assist and tied a game at 98-98. After this play, both teams were unable to score any point and the match went into OT. Walker missed a chance to give his team a win when 3 seconds left in a quarter.  


OT 1 and OT 2


Lowry and Theis started an OT with a bucket for each team. Powell scored a 3-pointer to tie a game in a 1st OT when 2:04 left in OT 1. Powell made 2 free-throws to give 2 points lead to the Raptors. 18.9 remaining in 1st OT, Brown was fouled by Lowry that put Brown onto a free-throw line. He made both free-throws to extend a game to 2nd OT.


Jaylen Brown threw a ball to Jayson Tatum who scored a bucket with a crazy dunk. With Tatum's alley-oop pass to Theis who finished a play with a dunk for 4 points lead to the Celtics when 4:02 left in a 2nd OT. Toronto Raptors came back in a game to tie a game. 1:38 to go, Marcus Smart made a huge 3 pointer to take the lead of 3 points but Toronto Raptors replied with a 3-pointer to tie a game. 57 seconds to go, Once again Anonuby was there to get a win for the Raptors as he scored a 3-pointer and took a lead of 1 point. 42 seconds to go, Jayson Tatum was on a drive to score a bucket but Powell stripped a ball from his hand. He scored a bucket and drew a foul for 3 points play. Toronto Raptors got 4 points lead after this play. Lowry scored a clutch bucket with falling away to give 4 points lead to the Raptors and This play decided a win for the Raptors. 6 seconds to go, Jayson Tatum scored a 3-pointer and took his team within a reach. Powell scored his both clutch free throws and sealed a win for Toronto. Toronto won a 2 OT thriller with 125-122.

Kawhi Leonard led Clippers to victory over the Denver Nuggets with his superb performance at both ends by scoring nearly triple-double with 30 points, 11 boards, 9 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks. 


Now Denver Nuggets falls behind in a series, In the last series against Utah Jazz they were in the same position and they won the series coming back from a 3-1 deficit. But this time they are against the mighty Los Angeles Clippers who are tough and have a player like Kawhi, Paul George and have very good players who are very good in defence. So it's going to very tough for them to repeat or Nearly impossible for them to come back.


Quarter 1


6:41 to go in a quarter, the Los Angeles Clippers took 8 points lead. 5:04 to go Kawhi Leonard made 3-pointer for 9 points lead to the Clippers. 4:56 to go Shamet blocked a shot of Jokic. William's 2 points play gave 11 points lead to the Clippers. 3:19 to go Clippers got 13 points lead in the quarter. 2:56 to go, Denver Nuggets missed 7 3-pointer attempts.2:26 to go, Clippers made an 11-0 run in the last 3 minutes of a game to take the lead of 17 points in a quarter. Nikola Jokic scored the first 8 points from 9 points for Nuggets. 1:04 to go, Paul George with a pullup jumper gave 16 points lead to the Clippers. Porter Jr scored a bucket off the glass. This is Denver Nuggets' lowest first quarter in this playoffs. Clippers got a huge 14 points lead in the first quarter.    

 

Quarter 2


Clippers started a quarter with 3 points play which gave 17 points lead to the Clippers. 5:55 to go, Grant made a 3-pointer, and with this Clippers lead cut to 11 points. 4 minutes remaining in a quarter, Porter Jr's long-range shot cut a lead into a single digit for Nuggets. Morris Sr. replied with his own 3-pointer. 2:29 to go, Grant with a post up and with a dunk to finish a play. After the first half of a play Clippers had 8 points lead in a game.      


Kawhi Leonard scored 18 points with 5 boards and 3 assists in the first half of a game. Jokic dropped 12 points with 4 rebounds and 4 assists in the first half for Nuggets. Michael Porter Jr was superb in a first half coming off a bench as he scored 15 points in only 14 minutes of the first half. 


Quarter 3 


Nuggets started a quarter with a 3-pointer which cut a lead to only 5 points. 10:48 to go in a quarter, Nikola Jokic with a 3 pointer for Nuggets to cut a lead to only 2 points in a game. Once they were 16 points behind Nuggets in a game.  Nuggets tied a game at 48-48 with an 8-0 run in the first 2 minutes of a quarter. 3:17 to go, the Clippers made a 21-5 run in the last 5:54 minutes of a game which gave them 16 points lead. Clippers were able to hold 10 points lead after 3 quarters play.  


Quarter 4 


8:53 remaining, Harrell worked against Jokic to score a bucket and he did it for 15 points lead to the Clippers. 7:44 to go, Paul George with the baseline 3-point jumper gave 16 points lead to the Clippers. Kawhi finished with a layup for 19 points lead to the Clippers. 2:04 to go, Murray hit a 3 pointer which cut a lead to 9 points for the Nuggets. Nuggets were able to cut 19 points deficit to 9 points but it was too late for them. Nuggets never got any chance after taking a huge deficit in a game. Clippers registered an easy win with 96-95 and they take a commanding lead 3-1 lead in a series.



Los Angeles Clippers' Scorer


Kawhi Leonard scored 30 points, 11 boards, 9 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks in a game. Paul George scored only 10 points in a game with 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Morris added 11 points, Zubac scored 11 points, 9 boards, and 2 blocks. 


Bench Players


Harrell 15 points, with 2 rebounds and scored points in 6 FGM from 10 FGA.  Lou Williams scored 12 points with 3 assists.


Denver Nuggets' Scorers 


Nikola Jokic led Nuggets in scoring with 26 points with 11 rebounds, 6 assists. Jamal Murray dropped 18 points with 4 rebounds and 7 assists. Harris added 10 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. 


Bench Player


Porter Jr. scored 15 points with 6 boards. Nuggets bench player scored 21 points in-game.
