 Both teams are super motivated with their first win over strong teams. In the recent meeting USA won against Australia with 2-1. Both teams never played in any major tournament but they played against each other in 4 occasions in a friendly. The U.S. holds the record with 2 win, 1 loss and 1 draw.

 

 After arrival of Messi football(soccer) become more famous in the USA and young players taking more interest in the game. They can now try to give fight to any team of the tournament. The USA has promising young star Alex Freeman.

 

Australia has two young promising star, Paul Okon-Engstler and Nestory Irankunda. This time Australia has balanced side than any other time. Australia's victory over Turkey was stunner.  Quatar played most of the second half with 9 players. Quatar hosted last world cup in 2022 but they lost all their three games. Ecuador to 2-0, Senegal to 3-1 and 2-0 to Netherlands. In the last game Quatar held Switzerland to 1-1 which gave them promising start but in the second game they failed to deliver that performance.

 

In the game Canada's midfielder Ismael Kone suffered horrific injury early in the second half who is key midfielder for them. It's going to be tough in the next phase of the tournament. Quatar midfielder Assim Madibo tackled him from behind in the second half, throwing Kone to the ground that caused a worst injury to Kone. Madibo sent off for the tackle on Kone.

32nd minute of the  game, El Amin's fouled Tajon Buhanan, referee gave penalty on that  foul but a VAR review ruled out the penalty and the decision was given as a free kick but Homam Ahmed's yellow card turn into red card and Quatar became 10 men team at the 33rd minute of the game.

 

 In a extra time of the first half, Larin's header was saved by Abunada, What an amazing save by Quatar goal keeper but this was not enough as Jonathan David was there to put a rebounded ball into the net with his foot.

 

51st minute of a game, another red card for Quatar, Kone tackled by Assim Madibo which sent off him from the ground and Quatar reduced to 9 men.

 

64th minute of the game, Nathan Saliba scored a goal with wonderful curly free kick.

 

75th minute of the game, Mohammed Manai tried to clear the ball but he put a ball into his own net.

 

In the extra time of the second half. David completed his hat-trick as he put a ball into the net with left foot.

 

It was a great victory for Canada in front of their home crowd where Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney was also present to watch his team.      

 

 Now Canada only needs to draw a game to qualify for the round of 32. Canada shoot a ball 31 times towards a goal and on the target they made 10 shots. They had 78% possession on a ball with 93% pass accuracy. They got 19 corners in the game.

50th minute of the game, Quinones got the ball on the left and send into the box towards Jimenez, Jimenez tried to put a ball into the net with his header but ball went up into the air. Korean goalkeeper Kim Seung-gyu came to catch the ball. He caught the ball but ball slipped from his hand and Mexico's player Romo was there to put a ball into the net. This was the first goal for Mexico and only goal of the game.

 75th minute of the game, Jimenez took a smooth first touch, a ball coming from Quinones. Jimenez took a shot from a tight angle and Kim Seung-gyu made a great save for South Korea.

 

 85th minute of the game, Once again South Korean goal keeper made another wonderful save from a strong shot of Vargas who came off the bench for Mexico.

 

87th minute of the game, now it's time for South Korea to attack. Gue-sung Cho headed a ball towards a goal post but Rangel made a amazing save before using his fingertips to stop a rebound attempt from Cho.

 

A mistake from Korean goal keeper led them to loss. Czechia and South Africa's match went to draw. Now Mexico already qualify for round 32, This group become three horses race. South Korea has better Chance to qualify for the round of 32.

 

South Korea was better than Mexico in  this game. They had 57% possession in the game. More passes than Mexico with more pass accuracy. Korea has more corners with 2 and Mexico even didn't get one corner. Both team shot a ball 8 times each towards a goal where Mexio had 4 shots on target while Korea had only 2.

 

An unreal double save from the Mexico goal keeper Raul Rangel in the 87th and 88th minute of the game led them to victory.

Lionel Messi made some records in this game. He equaled the all time Fifa world cup goal scoring record of Miroslav Klose with 16 goals. Messi scored his first ever hat-trick at the World Cup. This is Messi's 200th game as he became the first man to appear in six World Cups.

 

 17th minute of the game an absolute stunner from Lionel Messi. An amazing assist from De Paul as Messi took a ball with ease drives through a mid area and scored a long range goal from his left foot.  

 

at the 6oth minute of the game, a move started with Messi's movement. He made a pass to Gonzalez, Gonzalez passed a ball to Mac Allister who try to put a ball into  the net with his long range stunner outside the box but Zidane was in a way as he was able to only stop the ball but couldn't hold a ball. Messi was their to put a ball into the net. 

 

76th minute of the game, Once again Messi's started a move with dribbling a ball in the center circle before passing ball to Gonzalez. He passed a ball to Messi on the edge of the box as Messi put a ball with curvy shot into the bottom corner of the net.  

 

 Lionel Messi now became youngest and oldest to score in the world cup. He becomes to score in 5 different edition of Fifa World Cup after Cristiano Ronaldo.

Spain did everything they could do but Cape Verde goalkeeper Vazinha was standing on their way to win the game. This is the biggest moment for Cape Verde and goalkeeper Vazinha. 40 years old veteran was the stand out performer of the game. He made huge 7 saves in the game.  

 

Spain kept ball at their feet most of the time of the game with possession of 62% in the game. they shot a ball 23 times and put a ball on target 8 times but all these efforts were not enough against Vazinha. Spain got 11 corners in the game.

 

Torres, Fabian Ruiz, Pedri, Gavi and Mikel Oyarzabal everyone tried their best to secure the three points and want to take 1st spot on the table. Everyone though they will dominated just like Germany but they failed.

 

 Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams enter into the game after the first half to boost their chances to score a goal but this also was not enough for them as Cape Verde remained strong at defend line and didn't give any chance.

Germany was unable to get out of the group stage in the 2018 and 2022 world cups. They were the champions of 2014 world cup where they defeated Lionel Messi and Argentinian side. Now with this staggering start of the tournament of 2026 edition their confidence will be boosted.

 

Felix Nmecha scored in the 6th minute of the game but Curacao's Livano Comenenia equalized with his powerful left footed shot at the 21st minute of the game but after this goal there isn't any chances for Curacao and their players. Germany dominated the whole game.

 

Nico Schlotterbeck scored second goal for Germany in the 38th minute of the game. 

 

In the starting of the second half of the game Germany's star player Jamal Musiala scored a goal with his right footed shot. Kai Havertz scored 2 goals for Germany, Nathaniel Brown and Deniz Undav added one each.

 

After this victory Germany will face Ivory Coast in Toronto. Ivory Coast won their game against Ecuador. Curacao will face Ecuador in Kansas city.

 

After last two edition's early exit from the tournament this game will boost Germany's confidence and they have young stars which will give them higher chances in the tournament. Germany has lower chances than top five teams in the tournament but when they get their best they surprise everyone with their performance. That's why they are the four time champion of this tournament.    

 

Now Germany take the top spot to score most goal in the tournament with 239 goals where they overtake Brazil which scored 238 goals in the tournament.

Knicks got their hand on Saturday night at home of San Antonio Spurs against Spurs. Knicks clinch the series with 4-1 by taking 5th game with 94-90. 

 

In the fourth game of the series they made the greatest come back in any NBA finals. They came back from 29 points deficit. 

 

Jalen Brunson scored 45 points with 3 rebounds, 3 assists,  2 steals and +10 plus or minus.  Mikal Bridges made 14 points. Josh Hart scored 13 points with 11 rebounds and 2 assists with +15 plus or minus. OG Anunoby made 11 points with 8 rebounds.

 

For Spurs Dylan Harper scored 25 points with 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Victor Wembanyama scored 19 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 blocks. Vassell scored 12 points, Julian made 14 points. 

 

Spurs has young core which can be great in the near future if they will be polished and taken care of. 

 

Spurs had made many mistake even leading by big margin in every game. They are young and don't know how to play in this kind of situation at the biggest stage of the game. They gave up every game because of their mistakes and their team is made of players who always play for each other. 

 

In a team game, who play for their team, made sacrifice for their team always win. Talent always doesn't give you a victory.
