English Premier League 2020: Aston Villa stunned current EPL champion, Liverpool, with a stunning 7-2 victory over them. This is the first time in EPL history Manchester United and Liverpool both lost a game by conceding 6 goals or more.
Ollie Watkins shine as he scored a hattrick and John McGinn added 35 minutes goal in the first half of the match. Aston Villa scored 4 goals in the first half of the game. Jack Grealish scored 2 goals in the second half of the match. Ross Barkley also scored one goal in the second half of the game. Jack Grealish contributed to 5 goals of 7 in a match.
Mohamad Salah scored 2 goals for Liverpool one in the first half and one in the second half but it was not enough for Liverpool to avoid a humiliating defeat to Aston Villa which is now in the second place of the table. Manchester United also suffered a shock defeat to Tottenham Spurs on the same day but they were played most of the game with 10 men.

Aston Villa looks like in great form this season as they scored four goals in the first half of the match against Liverpool and became the first team to do it since Kloop became a coach of Liverpool in 2015.
Watkins becomes the first player to score a hat trick against Liverpool in a Premier League. Dimitar Berbatov is the other one who scored a hat trick against Liverpool in EPL in 2010.
Liverpool put their name on history but for the not good reason. Liverpool is the first reigning EPL Champion who conceded 7 goals in an EPL match since Arsenal against Sunderland in 1953.
This is the first time since the 1962-63 season, Aston Villa won all of their starting 3 games in the English Premier League. Grealish becomes only the second player after James Milner to make 3 assists in a game.
Liverpool conceded 7 goals in a match for the first time since April 1963 where Spurs crushed them. Aston Villa has won 4 consecutive home EPL matches for the first time since October 2007.
