French Open 2020: World number one Novak Djokovic continues his winning run as he made into the quarter-final of the French Open. Novak gets some fight from Karen Khachanov but it was not enough to stop Djokovic. He won a game 6-4 6-3 6-3.
Novak Djokovic made into the 11 consecutive French Open quarter-final and 14 overall to tie with clay court king Rafael Nadal for the most all-time. Djokovic has yet to lose any set in the Roland Garros.
Djokovic is in his 47th Grand Slam quarter-final only behind Roger Federer who top the list with 57 Grand Slam quarter-finals.
Djokovic broke a serve of Khachanov in the 8th game of a first set. Khachanov brought back Djokovic's serve in the next game but he unable to continue that performance as Djokovic broke his next serve and got a first set 6-4.
Djokovic got the 4th game of the second set on the Khachanov's serve. Djokovic got a set on his own service of the 9th game of the second set.
French Open: Rafael Nadal enters into a last 8 of the French Open.
Djokovic broke a serve of Khachanov on the first game of the third set in a match. He broke serve with a drop shot, Khachanov had no answer to it. Khachanov got back his service break by breaking the service of Novak in the fourth game of the third set. Djokovic got a broke point in the 7th game of the third set, this time Khochanov gave it with an unforced error. Novak won a game by breaking another serve of Khochanov as he took a set and a match.
Now, Novak Djokovic has a 35-1 ATP match win-loss record in the season of 2020. This match was not easy for Djokovic as scoring sheets suggest it. Djokoic hit 29 drop shots in his fourth round match.
Now, Djokovic will face the winner of the match between Pablo Carreno Busta who is 17th seed in the tournament, and Daniel Altmaier.
